一、Theme: Building a Bridge for China-Vietnam Exchanges: New Positioning, New Tracks, New Opportunities
二、Event Background:
As the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam continues to strengthen, the two countries are deepening cooperation in various fields such as trade, production capacity, and investment. Vietnam, as China’s largest trading partner in ASEAN and the sixth-largest globally, plays a significant role in maintaining a close industrial and supply chain relationship with the Chinese market, with mutual investments continuously expanding. In November 2022, China and Vietnam jointly issued the 《Joint Statement on Further Strengthening and Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and Vietnam》providing crucial policy support for promoting cooperation between the two nations. Under the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the "two sides corridor" plan, China-Vietnam cooperation is deepening, particularly achieving notable results in trade, production capacity, and infrastructure construction. China, with its technological advantages, can assist Vietnam in bypassing developmental stages, moving directly from Industry 2.0 to Industry 4.0, thus creating significant complementary cooperation opportunities.
On December 12, 2023, during his visit to Vietnam, general secretary of the CPC Central Committ, Chinese president Jingping Xi reached a consensus with Vietnamese General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, announcing a new positioning of bilateral relations. This consensus further deepens the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and establishes a strategically significant China-Vietnam community of shared destiny, elevating the relationship to new heights.
To further promote bilateral cooperation, the The 2nd OCTF (Vietnam) Intelligent Technology Exhibition International Non-governmental Exchange Symposium is being organized. This event will focus on discussing how AI can integrate with the smart technology industry in 2024, the inaugural year for enterprise-level AI, how it can empower business development, and facilitate cross-border industrial integration, helping companies reposition and capture new opportunities.
